Built for the moment you have to be understood
Parlivon started from a simple frustration: translation apps are usually built for reading text on a screen, not for two people trying to sort something out at a counter, a clinic or a taxi window.

What we care about
Conversation first
One phone, two people, one pair of earbuds. Whoever speaks is translated in the right direction without anyone tapping a button mid-sentence.
Reliable when it matters
Signal disappears exactly when you need help. Downloaded phrasebooks, cached audio and hand-it-over cards work with no data at all.
Plain and inclusive language
Neutral wording is the default: one clean phrase instead of a wall of gendered variants, with masculine and feminine forms available where a language needs them.
Usable by everyone
Large type, high-contrast mode, dark mode, adjustable playback speed and a guided earbud check — so the app works for travellers who are not comfortable with technology.
Privacy and Canadian compliance
Audio and images are processed to produce a translation, not to profile you. You can review what is stored for your account, export it, or ask us to delete it. We follow Canadian privacy expectations, including PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, and our marketing email practices follow CASL. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
